Description
The first Fly Rig was originally introduced in 2014. It was groundbreaking for bassists from all categories – from touring pros to hobbyists – and has been expanded into an entire series. Each Tech 21 Fly Rig is much more than a pedalboard! It’s a complete rig – and much smaller than an entire pedalboard at that. At a width of just under 30 cm and a weight of around 600 g, the slim, compact housing offers the range of functions of an entire rig.
The heart of each is the fully analog SansAmp, which allows direct connection to a PA or to studio mixers and computer interfaces. In the effects section, all the basics are available – and the possibility of doing a few unusual things as well. What you have to do without, however, are crackling patch cords, batteries running low, and hum loops. No smelly transporter, no heavy flight cases and practically no superfluous weight.
In addition, the stress of deciding what to take and what is better left at home is eliminated. No more worrying about a cheap borrowed backline or your tour rig breaking. With a Tech 21 Fly Rig, you can sit back and relax. For gigs around the world that you can only get to by plane, jam sessions at the nearest pub, and last-minute recording sessions, you’ll be the first one ready. Just pack your Fly Rig in your guitar case or backpack and it’s out the door.
