Back in 2016 Crazy Tube Circuits designed a custom amp to morph the sound of the legendary Fender 5E3 Tweed Deluxe and 6G2 Brownface Princeton amps. The Greeks were so impressed with the result that they decided to put that sound into a pedal. Falcon was designed as a meticulously accurate emulation of those circuits. With every last detail in mind, the behavior, sound and feel of the preamp, phase inverter and power amp of these two vintage amps were copied. By using JFET technology, Crazy Tube Circuits has managed to authentically recreate not only the powerful overdrive sounds, but also the characteristic clean sounds. In order to authentically reproduce the dynamic, lively strumming, as well as the unique « attack » of the amps, a lot of work was put into emulating the compression of the power amp. The finest adjustments to the guitar’s Volume and Tone knobs, drastically affect the sound of the pedal, just as it was with the Falcon’s classic models.
