Description

Locomotive is a true bass tube overdrive with a 12AY7 tube, the same type of tube used in the preamp of a tweed bass amp developed decades ago. With this amp in mind, Crazy Tube Circuits designed the pedal with a wide gain range. Locomotive covers all sounds from massive clean boost to warm organic tube grind with excellent response and high dynamics through the organic compression of a classic tube amp. A Clean control allows the dry signal to be blended in to preserve all the bass frequencies, while a low impedance output ensures the pedal can also be used as a standalone preamp. Power from a standard 9V DC power supply is amplified via an internal voltage multiplier to provide the correct tube voltage.

While many manufacturers focus on clones of popular pedals, all of Crazy Tube Circuits’ products are completely in-house developments by the Greek effects manufacturer. All pedals are lovingly handcrafted in Athens, feature true bypass and are very high quality.
